10:10:10 CHALLENGE

Become A Farmer Of Light

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

1GEN was founded on the core principle that self-sustaining development goals are the only way forward in today's time. While not being against Philanthropy, we at 1GEN believe charity is not the answer to solve complex social issues.
As part of this,1GEN annually organises the 10:10:10 Initiative for the entire Organisation. Every team member is given 10$ to invest in an IDEA!  An idea that can positively impact at least 10 people in 10 days!

10 DOLLARS. 10 DAYS. 10X IMPACT

As part of Mission 2030,1GEN supports Sustainable Development Goals, like No poverty, Zero hunger, Good health and well being etc. We believe that the World can be changed by small acts of kindness and compassion, creating a gradual ripple effect, which will eventually touch many lives.

"What's better than giving the gift of education? The pandemic has hampered student studies. So, we distributed books to children as they are unable to go to school due to lockdown. We hope that our little effort can help children in brightening their future."

THE EXPERIENCE

‘Help someone, not for the reward, but for the sake of changing a life.’

I’m thankful to 1GEN for providing me an opportunity to bring a change in someone’s life. I and my team members gave a second-hand tablet to a girl who aspires to study but has no resources. I’m glad that we became a part of her happiness and possibly a better future. The experience of helping someone is extremely joyful.

I would like to thank 1GEN for believing in us and giving us this great opportunity to bring happiness to someone’s life.
It is very important for all of us to help the people who are working very hard for our families during these difficult times because this pandemic has hit them hard.
I am lucky that 1GEN brought this idea into our lives and it was really satisfying to help a child for his bright future.

I felt so grateful to be a part of this motivational challenge where I could be able to contribute for the people who were suffering in this pandemic, as we all are rushing to help covid impacted people but forgot to help those who are going through other diseases like cancer and it was quite soothing and satisfying moment when me and my friends donated blood for the cancer patients.

I felt blessed and was quite surprised how just a contribution of 10 dollars can do wonders. It helped someone find a destination when they were lost and somehow made me feel useful and it is fulfilling to be able to help another along their way.

The world is such a big place with so many needs that my little acts of kindness and frankly my whole life seems so small.
